Re: Do people use EOL?
That's the main way for the people in the scene playing elma nowdays, offline elma is pretty much only used for playing with saveload (Smibu SL patch or norm elma with Hourglass) and making secret levels for contests (to avoid accidentally upping them to the database).
Re: Do people use EOL?
I'm going to switch the question to the inverse:
Is there any significant part of the scene out of mopolauta, IRC and EOL?

I think at least the a part of the Russian community is isolated on some discussion board of their own.Undiente wrote:I'm going to switch the question to the inverse:

Re: Do people use EOL?
More or less yes, everone uses EOL.
Times in any level driven in regular elasto mania offline are completely disregarded as it is extremely easy to cheat times with a program that allows you to save in the middle of a run and load from that point over and over until you have a perfect run. This program is widely spread and more or less everyone uses it for finding styles in levels before driving them properly in EOL.
EOL more or less prevents cheated times as it records your run live and keeps check of various mathematical parameters etc etc complicated stuff etc etc you probably get the idea =)

However, that is old as hell. Like in the beginnings of EOL. When I came back to elma a handful of months ago I changed my nick to "undi", and I left years ago.
