Eurovision Song Contest 2003

Post by Kopaka »

This is the official Eurovision Song Contest 2003 topic...you can talk other years to if you feel like.

I don't feel like talking about last year...but 2001 and 2000 was extremly good years for Denmark. We won in 2000 and was second in 2001 :)

So, does anyone know when it is in 2003 ??

Am I the only one who likes the greek song from last year?

"Say, say the magic word...
*greek babble*
Give the password...the password...the password"

Really good song! Kraftwerk feeling...

Norway's song sucks, as usual. Not as bad this year as two years ago though.
Hopefully we get 0 points, that's always funny.

The best song was Germany's 2 or 3 years ago - "Wadde Hadde Dudde Da?".

Roger that!

Another thing that always happen is that the wrong song won the swedish "qualification" or whatever you call it. It should have been "Sarek - Genom Eld & Vatten".

But "Fame - Give me your love" can win too...

OMG, are you crazy man!? "Everbody" sucked a$$! How could it win???The melody was impossible to remember, even right after you've heard the song! Also the song was quite boring... ZZZzzzzz...

It's a music contest between countries in Europe. First each country has its own contest, and the winner there enters the European contest. And for some reason it's broadcasted in Australia :)
Antz wrote:is it just me who thinks 99% of the songs are crap crap crap?
I think many shares that opinion :) I for one.

Hmph, the transsexual from OUTSIDE of Eurpoe...how is she allowed to win? Ah well, its about time i got over that...
Ahem, who remembers '96? Gina G, The Australian who won it for UK...
Its about time we had someone good doing a song for us...

I remember Gina G (ohh, ahh, just a little bit, ohh, ahh, a little bit more), but she didn't win did she? Anyway, besterest Eurovision song (when talking quality) has to be Secret Garden - Nocturne, who won it for Norway in '95.

OMG, u must be kidding!!! That song was almost disqualified 'cause there's only like 8 words in it! Boring song!

Only techno/dance/trance songs can have so few lyrics. Definately not ballads anyway.

Only the songwriter have to be from the country the song come from, they singer(s) don't have to be from the same country(and can be fro outside europe)...strange, but true.

Turkey is also in the contest, though it's an Asian country.
(Ok, ok 1% is in Europe, but still) :P

And it's true non-European artists are allowed. For instance Celine Dion (from Canada) was in it once upon a time. (For Switzerland i think)

I'll do like always.

-Put volume to 0
-Play any good song you like
-Think: "That's a damn good song, but playback and bad timing by singers"

OK, i guess. But Belgium was the best of the top 3! And we (Sweden) was the ones who ruined it for them by being the only ones who didn't give Belgium any points... At least we landed on 5th place.

PS 1. chux, aren't you English? Don't you know "Gay" can mean "Jolly"
