MergeStats

Post by zebra »

I have made a new program called Mergestats v.1.0, which merges stats.txt -type files. I think it's useful for everybody who has some level pack which records he has to update frequently or for teams or other ppl who just want to examine his times. The output file can be in normal stats.txt -mode or in html -mode.

Read more from the Readme.txt that is included in the zip file.

Get the program here: http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/mergestats10.zip

Also check http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/elma.html for updates and http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/IFLP_table_6.html (it's done by using program)

Program updated. It can now read irc battle logs as well, so my older program combobattle is no longer needed.

Download the program here:
http://koti.mbnet.fi/zebra/mergestats14.zip

I hope you'll find this program useful.
At least I use it when I make monthly statistics of battles and when I make mastercup results.

I think it's super.

I still really need these two options:
1. Possibility of calculation nations stats. Right now, you can modify nick like this example: "FW [TEM]", and then there will be team stats for TEM. If there could be an addon so that if you modified nick like this example: "FW [TEM] (DEN)", it would give stats for the nation Denmark.

2. When calculating average times, it will calculate the average time of all times submitted. Let's say theres 7 people, who won each level ten times each. That's 70 times. Instead of calculating average of top 10, it automaticly calculates average of all times submitted.
Please, if there were the option to choose how many times it should be calculating average times of.

If any of these things already are parts of the program, im sorry

1. The nation thing wasn't in the list when i started to make the program 3 years ago. Then when mopobattles came, it was allowed and yes, you can put for example "FW [TEM] (DEN)" as your name and when you make mopobattle statistics the program makes nationalities.txt which has the nationalities ordered in a way in which MGen's mopobattle program wants them.

But you are right that in stat.txt files those national statistics doesn't exist. I can put this feature to my mergestats todo -list, which already has multiple new bugs/features including lev/rec reading (i would need code how to read them), sql output (for skint0r), GUI (now when i can c#) and some other things too.

btw, you can calculate national stats if you put the nationality as your team (like FW [DEN]), this is of course not very handy.

2. In options/settings you have option 'print only 10 best times to stat file'. I think this would make the thing you wanted.

I tried this before, however, even though only top 10 of times were written, it still calculated from all times

Mergestats v.1.7 out!

New features:
- national cup statistics
- rec reading
- "abort" -word stops a battle, like "stop" and "end"
- fixed pallepot/battlebot thing
- fixed that average calculating
- some other minor bugs fixed
- the zip contains now some extra (other useful programs which you can use with mergestats)

I hope not very much bugs left. Only lev reading is now missing, I'd appreciate if someone showed me code (in some language, doesn't matter) how top 10 list could be read from lev file. But for now it's not a problem to use LevStats I think.
