Again, that is a light thingy. They are (edit - almost) everywhere. Examples:

In a can of coke,
In you head,
In a ring
etc.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!
You cant see a hole! You can see the outside, like the thing that makes the hole, and you can see through it, but you cant see the hole! Its just air!

because theres the stuff aorund it, thats what you see. like, if you make a circle with your fingers, you can see your fingers, you can see the carpet or whatever's on the other side, but you cant see the space between them

bu tif you dig a hole, you can see the mud, but not the air!
The air is what makes the hole!
Anyway, a dream would make more sense :D

Air doesn't make the hole. The stuff around it does. You can see a hole because when you look into a hole in say, a carpet. The fact that the carpet isn't there means you can see a hole. I know I can explain it better but I can't find the right words.

Yeah, I can kinda see what you mean, but its the lack of (something) that makes a hole. if there was carpet there, there would be no hole, but as theres air there instead, theres a hole.
may still not make sense, but i cant think of a better way to describe it

Following that theory, nothing that isn't solid or visible should have a name.

I won't bother to try to explain my reason for thinking so, but I agree with Chuckles.

All fabrics can become solid under the right circumstances; water is solid at 0 degrees C, and CO2 is solid at some temperature as well.

What he said.

Anyway, that wasn't my point. My point was that, by your theory, if a <noun> can not be seen, it doesn't exist.

hmm... perhaps it's time for a new riddle... :)

here goes:

You can see it, but you can't smell it or taste it. There are many of these in your room, in your school, in ppls houses, workplaces, and a few can be found in cars too. And if every single one of these suddenly disappeared, it would be a disaster.

heh... wrong wrong and wrong... :)

Some hints:

It can be big or small, it can be blue, red, black, green or any other color. There are many diffefent kinds of these. There are more of these in airports than in harbors. They are important to you but your pet doesn't give a damn about them...

you should be able to figure it out now... :)

I would have said colors but you mentioned them yourself so it can't be that.

Colors sounds right to me, but since he said it himself...
I thought so because of "They are important to you but your pet doesn't give a damn about them...", and animals see black and white.

And if one of them disappeared it would be a disaster, true with colors. But hm, in airport they are used for showing the landing area for planes but don't they use in harbours for same purpose? :]

nope, not colors...

this is gettin too long... i don't want this to get boring... and someone else might want to post a riddle here too... :)

so here's the last hint: (and now you MUST figure it out :) )

It can be any color but normally it's black. These can be found EVERYWHERE. Actually it's pretty hard to try to find a thing, which didn't have these on it. These are usually placed in straight lines of different length, one after other in particular order. And you can make these yourself.

airport = 7 letters
harbor = 6 letters

7 is more than 6

YEAH... dz... you're not that dumb after all... :D

the right answer is LETTERS

as in aödkjfhgldskfhkdhgldfg

now scroll up and read the hints again... you'll get it :D

(and ok... it's not that hard to find things with no letters on them, but i just looked around and thought that it was.. but rocks, trees, potatoes etc. naturally don't have letters on them. i just tried to say that it's harder to think about things where there are no letters than things where letters can be found... sorry about that)
