Post by Piccolo »

Hi,

Please send file + replay back to me and tell me what you think about the level.

If the level takes longer than 5 mins to finish the replay will be cut off. (The replay can't be longer than 5 mins))
<Fihlvein> another case of zworqy-is-always-right closed i guess
<yoosef> zworqy doesnt suck at anything

picco, the bad thing about the level is that it's very long and very hard. if you play the level for about 3 mins and then you fail at some extremely annoying hard place, you get pissed and never play the level again. maybe not never, but for a while.

Rule: A level's difficulty (d) should be..., what's it called again...?, reversely proportional to the level's length (l). So d / l should be a small number,
preferrably < 1 .
I don't know about a unit for measuring difficulty, so let's make one. We'll call it kahoots (k). The unit is defined by some factors, one of which is the amount of tries required before you finish the level. Length is measured in average time of finish.
So the formula is: x k / y s < 1

It's actually simple: If the level is long, it must be easy. If it's short it can be hard (it doesn't have to be).

The level is so extrem long because i had to improve it again and again.
First I made Endless (i was very proud of the lev) but my friend zed finished it in 7 min.
Then i improved Endless and made Super Endless but after one week i could finish it in 9 mins.
So i made Extrem Endless and later Ultimate Endless, because i always bet with my friend that he isn´t able to finish my levs.
And so i won the bet, but now nobody can finish it.

yeah, who can finish a level that has invisible polygons down there at 8minutes... and then after that in some 12minutes part there are lots of gravity apples in this "room" ....that is impossible to know in which order to take them..... but then...very nice work you have done for this level, that's not made in one day hehe. If the level stayed visible and adviced that u knew what apples to take and what route to go it would be ok to cruise.

Thanks for driving my level @onlainari. It wasn´t easy to drive so far.
What should I say? I love masks and invisible polygons :D
Should I send you the unlocked version? So you could find the best way....

But I think the room with the gravity apples should be no problem.
After that it get harder.

no need to send...it's not fun cuz the replay can get to 5minutes only...let's hope hibernatus or balazs comes up with a new special on elma that can save replays as long as they are, then we would have more this kind of levels....kind of adventures....

You mean the x and y? Just random characters. If you meant the k and s, they're the new unit I just invented, and seconds.
