Vsync control on next version?
Hey, I was just thinking that could you guys make some thing that you can turn vsync on/off ingame. It seems like that if you have vista you cannot turn vsync off unless game has option to do that. That would pretty much help all vista users and other guys who cant turn vsync off.
Re: Vsync control on next version?
mila surely would have skills to do it if he studied about it, but rather: don't use vista

Re: Vsync control on next version?
it's relatively pointless to add this, as Vsync doesn't take effect until you restart the program.

Re: Vsync control on next version?
Vsync on Vista is supposed to be switched by prog, not by driver.Zweq wrote:he just said it doesn't work on vista at all?SmaXa wrote:it's relatively pointless to add this, as Vsync doesn't take effect until you restart the program.

The game itself I mean. RivaTuner and aTuner just change driver options, but on Vista driver options cannot affect on vsync.Pawq wrote:what prog would u recommend?

Re: Vsync control on next version?
I concur! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make this! I will be SO SO SO happy!
Re: Vsync control on next version?
And would it be fair? I've always thought that many would consider this a cheat. And i kinda agree, because you get adjustable physics, which is quite impsy to get without that kind of patch. And maybe it will be just another step to getting a game, which allows things that were impossible in original elma.
p.s. btw it's megaeasy to code, according to one guy i know.

Re: Vsync control on next version?
imo changing vsync in-game is one of these things not to be implemented.
Re: Vsync control on next version?
wait... weren't we talking about changing fps in the middle of a run, or was that just me?
Re: Vsync control on next version?
nobody was talking about that, everyone just about in-game changing vsync so vista users could play with vsync off, which, atm, is pretty hardhexeditor wrote:wait... weren't we talking about changing fps in the middle of a run, or was that just me?

Re: Vsync control on next version?
Would be nice, since currently I've got to play Uphill Battle on my other computer with elma 1.0 and merge states after.
Re: Vsync control on next version?
Bis why not just move the stats from belma folder, then move back?
Re: Vsync control on next version?
hello mr and mrs stupid, we are not talking about changing vsync in-in-game. just changing it in belmaconf or in some menu inside elma, so that it's posible to play with vsync off on vista.

Re: Vsync control on next version?
actually if you were on topic, you SHOULD be talking about vsync control In-game.

...? This is kinda irrelevant to the alternate points you and i made?p00 wrote:It seems like that if you have vista you cannot turn vsync off unless game has option to do that.

i agree it was relevant to the discussion that was happening, but that discussion was off-topic.SmaXa wrote:actually if you were on topic, you SHOULD be talking about vsync control In-game.

Re: Vsync control on next version?
smaxa... the deal is that microsoft made an error in vista so you can't change vsync off from your display driver but only inside applications. a fix for this is what p00 is addressing in his first post. an option to force a vsync change inside of elma, so that people with vista can get the benefit of using vsync off. any talk about real-time vsync changing in-game is what is "off-topic". do you get it now? i don't think i can explain it much better.

Re: Vsync control on next version?
It Doesn't really matter, and this is my last post on this matter, but J-Sim, the topic was not "Can we have V-sync control in Belma folder somewhere?" it was "can we have V-sync control in-game?"
anything about Vista was completely Irrelevant.
