Grandparents

Post by teajay »

Today my grandmother died. She suffered from alzheimer. We're glad it's over, finally. Now I've only got one granny left, and no gramps. Next monday's the funeral, yey, my 10th funeral I think.

Have you got grandparents, are they cool?

I have had almost no contact with grandparents on my father's side although they lived only 10km away. My grandfather died some years ago but I didnt even go to funeral :( didnt know him. Grandmother still living in that same city.
However, my grandparents on my mother's side is awesome. I have a quite close connection with them and theyve always supported me and been there. <3

Don't feel sorry guys, her passing away was long overdue. I just hope my parents will not get alzheimer. I have to take care of their euthanasia then. Don't know your thoughts about it, but I find it a crime to keep these people alive so long eventhough they would've protested against it if they could (they can't, they forgot).

sorry to hear tj, and zwor aswell, even if she was suffering, you'll still never get to see/speak to her ever again so it's still sad.

i have 4 grandma's, 2 grandpa's, all alive atm, one of my grandma's is completely mad and will probably cark it though, but we don't care aobut her in this house, because she sued my dad for $400,000 =\

My grandmother died this summer, almost exactly one year after her son died (he was autist, he died at the age of 42 of a pneumonia, he had only one lung), because she really wanted to go with him. She always protected him when he was alive and his death affected her very, very much. One month after his death she learnt she had a cancer and decided not to tell anyone. She told my grandfather on the day of his birthday, on April 23rd, and all the family knew about it in the following week. We all knew she didn't want us to try to prevent her from passing away. And she passed away 364 days after my uncle did, on June 3rd. So I have a grandmother and a grandfather left, as my other grandfather is unknown.

That's ok :)

I accepted her death very quickly. I didn't even cry. I just knew that was what she wanted and I admired her devotion.
