Ya, AnpDad I know what you mean about the wheel press on that left wall after by the first apple. You can even get a mass spring off your back tire if you do it early enough and get a ton of speed. Every time I managed to do it though I had to much speed for the next part. My wr replay I do it but actually lose speed doing so. Pretty lame.

yeah culino that's the old style i used.. managed that bounce a few times back in the days .. but the hang/jump to the top 2 apples was too tricky for me.. maybe you should make some train lvl with teh first and the hoyl bounce :P

At least it was faster than any other start in my rec folder. But I don't know if it is new though, maybe it just hasn't been used because of too small gain/difficulty -ratio (wheel goes pretty close to the killer).

i wouldnt call that a style, it's just a variation of the standard start when you're lucky enough to get the right amount of rear before approaching the left loop. raven does that too when he can

i wonder if it's possible to do it by the old way faster. drop-in like in the current wr style, bounce from the left wall and then hang...

here's a rec on that train lev http://up.k10x.net/nvnwuhcyzwgfc/tr15dame.rec

Seems the start is the only real problem in that style... Found this rec in some topic on lauta. Max end 8O

Ok. thanks for the info :) ... But seriously, has anyone been even close to succeed in that start style? I mean, like is it even possible to get brutal/bounce from there?

If the volt at 14.xx would have been little earlier :?

Could be a little faster, but maybe not 17.7x.

Indeed, you were leading with 0,20 seconds comparing to some of your old 17,82 rec according to my quick merging. (there's slower speed for end in that place in this style I guess though)

My best, 1:29 is also made with that style, i guess i posted the rec some years ago. I reeaally suck at the loop parts so atleast few secs better shouldn't be too hard. Also, i think left route after the bottom apple is faster, my time made with right first...

When I played dt I tried pretty much all possible order of taking apples and I think all of them are possible 1.23 with some hoyling, mayb ( atleast in theory) even 1.22 but nevertheless they all are slower, so i didn't play them much and so dont have any recs :(

No, not really. Pro style cant be that slow for you, only place where you can really lose time is the shortcut in the left, but it is just matter of hoyling. And you can easily lose time in pipes without even noticing it. I used train levs to get good touch on all parts of the lev.

Someone should make a compilation of all these recs, so we have all the impsy, would-be, stylechanging and downright idiotic replays for easyview. Maybe make a vid? I'd watch for certain.

I made something that could be interesting in Upside Down
Of course, not faster than WR style, but still, is it psy to get directly to the other apple (then flip and woohoo like usual)?

When hoyling recently I thought about it as well. Though, from my very little testing experience, there is no possibility to make a bounce strong enough to loop and acquire more speed/do it faster than current WR-style. You're talking about the first apple part, right?
