the little things that make you bonkers

Post by sleap »

lets go for another heads up, gentlemen!

there are many little things i just can not stand and i ponder if you got any of them too.

#1 a dropping water-tap. if it needs more than to be closed i am not the man to fix it, but if tighten the actuator is all there is to it i put it safe right away.

#2 a shacky table! what a misery. obviously enough if it is not my table i wont fix it, but if the table i am on is shaking i need to put something underneath it.

i am certain there are other things giving me the fucks but i cant think of them now.
share yours!

:D
i know that but not from me! i find it disturbing for sure but nothing bringing me very much out of concept.
my former roommate though he was not to speak with at all when on the phone. PLUS this motherfucker had to walk all the time when on the phone. that is for the other persons doings/actions getting me to the edge: people walking up and down when doing the telephone - in a space of 20m². being a fucking superdirector. This. Especially if it's some girl that every little thing she does = boner. Makes me bonkers.

BTW Igge, i somewhat disagree for this dual-topic. Imo bonkers does not have to be rage, it can be extreme happy or extreme anything too, so this thread has a purpose.

Igge wrote:I really hate slow automatic doors. Really. You walk towards them, and the closer you get, the more you start worrying it won't open at all. So you slow down, and then a microsecond later it opens! But since you slowed down, you now have to accelerate again to re-gain the speed you had before. Had the door just opened half a second earlier you wouldn't have had to slow down at all! This really grinds my gears. It's one of those small things that annoy the crap out of me. This retardation followed by the acceleration probably costs me 1 second a week! Now ponder all doors worked perfectly. Then I would save almost a minute a year! Just imagine what I could be doing that minute! I could be learning at least 5 new words, or perhaps do that one extra sum before the test, or perhaps sleep! That's it. The next time I come in one minute late, I'm blaming faulty automatic doors.

But if it had a bit larger "viewing area" it would open much more often when people are just walking past without going in, cus it reacts on a bigger area of movement. There's always a trade off. Of course it could just be more intelligent and watch which direction you are walking and only open if you are walking in direction of the door.

Yeah, but it annoys me more when they throw their garbage beside a bin (not in it).
Also, when I see spit on the ground.

Was working at a festival yesterday, after it had ended I had to fold those transportable tables and put them on piles (like this, but with separate table/seating: http://biertafel.nl/wp-content/gallery/ ... l_voor.jpg). I was doing great, but only one time my thumb got crushed between the reclining support and the wooden deck. I continued working, seemed no problem, but half of my thumb went gray immediately. About an hour after, while driving home, it started to hurt like HELL and it still does and I haven't been able to sleep properly since.

So if you ask me, this little thing called 'thumb' is driving me totally bonkers, even with the painkillers I normally hardly use.

The hospital said go to the doctor, the doctor said go away, it's not broken. It didn't hurt when I woke up yesterday, luckily. It only hurts when I move it or when it gets in contact with something. Playing the guitar is painful ;\

This.

Also drivers tailgating me or on traffic lights trying to stop as close to rear of my car as possible. One ended on my rear bumper right next to police station and escaped. I remembered his numbers and went on police. The car was Rover and I had a nice Rover logo reflected on my rear bumper. I had no problems with claiming insurance from him, he had some problems for being drunk and escaping.

The real enemy is when the popup dosen't seem to make its way to the front of the screen and your computer restarts when you're in the middle of doing something important. Not good :(

Edit: Just understood what you meant, how do I disable it?

windows update -> change settings -> never check for updates, or at least let me choose

z: writing about it at some internet forum isn't very loud, is it? i never told anyone they are dumb (apart from a couple of best friends) and i usually restrain myself from too definite judgements. since we're confessing here though...

DEPENDS.

But truly, my first electric razor lasted about ten years. I got it for my fourteenth birthday in 2003. And recently it was the power source that failed to work properly. You can ask me in ten years. I won't be on lauta anymore, but you can ask me on facebook or via email. I will give you my emailadress if you like. It's my old nickname on a gmail account. Ask me, in ten years. I will reply.

Are you really trying to delude yourself? You'll never truly get over lauta ;)
Anyway, I hope all the things that I have last for the next 10 years, including the electric razor that is some 1 year old atm. It's braun I think, I hope it's good ._.

What really pisses me of nowadays is my cellphone. It has just reached the phase of spontaneous turning off, ermegherd, really annoying. Can't wait for the new one.
Recently my mouse was fucking with me too, doing double-clicks instead of singles etc. I thought it was about to fall apart, because it was worth some 3e when new - that is some 5 years ago. But guess what? Some time passed and it's perfectly fine now, not a glitch for a couple of weeks ^^ Good cheap stuff, let's see how long it lasts

Drinking a bit of beer and feeling pissed much too soon. What's up with that?!! ;OO

Also, pawq, I won't be using lauta in 10 years from now. When I reach 10k, it's the limit. Trust me in this.
