I tried to use new editor... I didnt understand how... I managed to see a tree on map (which I placed) alsoI made 3 triangles, but I tried to make circles... then I didnt know how to delete the polygons.. had to ctrl z

anyways... I never understood how to play the level and it felt all so messed up... also I didnt manage to delete the tree... much trouble for nothing it seems :/

Way too complicated.... for aguy like me

but I'm not getting arsed enough to do it now...

And I don't know enough to find out what is wrong with the default.lgr and elma.res :?

Don't like this editor

It isn't natural to use it after using the good old one for 2 or 3 years ...

Too much keyboard shortcuts :?

Cooool! A little buggy but cool!

I also had problems getting it to find the pictures, but when i opened a level that already had pictures it worked.

One thing i just can't understand why can't u accept that there are more advanced editors than the built-in one. It is like programmers would keep cryin about languages like basic pascal or C, coz it is much easier now to write simple programs than it was in assembly. Why does it matter? And about that LOM thing: i think it's still a challange of creativity to make good levels about themes, new editor just makes it easier to create.

I don't make somebody to use my editor, who wants to use MS Paint instead of Adobe Photoshop - its his right.
But if anyone wants to download it now - link

ok...I take that back :P

This is an exellent program, the only downside is that you need to go into the game all the time, you just cant play straight away, but its really nice how you copy picture polygon in which is great, im still learning this program, so i dont know its capabilities yet.

this would be great to do the creative side in something like LOMs, you make the 'Base' of the level, then add your own polygon pictures with this program which is pretty easy.

Anyways I think Abula should put this in moposite news, its a great tool.

anyone ever thought to program some 'create random level' function? like for example in heroes of might and magic 3 there is that kind of function and it creates really good map in just few secs, creating good heroes map manually would take hours, maybe even days. This is only a suggestion, i have no idea how to make it

well you could make some base polygons and then use a prog to put them randomly and maybe change vertexes a bit everytime to.
and yes i have thought about that.

ez flat track -algorithm :p~~~~~~~

then you could have other algorithms sach as warm up, uphill battle, islands, new wave (the waves only (well noone likes that)), headbang0r, apple harvest... basically would be quite ez to make teh code for those, few parameters that user can change and võïlâ, there you have thousands of ballehöylälevs in no timz :)

it simple why ppl dont like new stuff. it means things change. when things around you change you have to change too eventually. and who wants to change? who doesnt want to know his place..

I'm so happy someone made a better level editor.
It's exactly the same as the old one except friendlier and you can see what you're doing more with the pictures. Plus a few great add ons like undo which has annoyed the hell out of me in the old one when I accidentally delete a polygon which makes up most of the level.

Sure the old one works, but that's all it really does. The very minimum

could a smoothen function be made? The math for it shouldn't be too hard and I think it would be VERY helpful in a lot of maps. The person would have a choice of the number of vertexes between each original vertex and could do the smoothen function on any line. If a line can't be selected, then on any 2 vertices. (on second thought, I guess you would need at least 2 lines selected)

Nicolas, they don't mean the limit of 188 units is too big, they mean that when you are on zoom 1.0 the visible area is bigger than 188x188...

In the elma-editor it's impossible to zoom out more than to max map size

In this editor the max map area is visible already on zoom 5 or so. (Depending on the window size of course)

The good thing with this system is that you can have the edge of your lev in the center of the edit area, even when your level is at maximum size.

Post a new download link. None of the above work anymore.

I think I'll put your editor on my site available for download.
I already have the 1.0 version and I love it.

Well, in the 2.1 and 2.0 version(including that christmas edition). When you open up an existing level, it deletes all the pictures and sets the level properties to 'Ground' and 'Sky'. This is very annoying when you want to use an ALE feature in your existing level you have made in the normal editor. Note: This did not happen in 1.0.. Why is that?... and can you fix it?

Thanks in advance. :)
