Im looking for something that can flip stuff around...like play it backwards. Acoustica doesnt do it :(

I make my music mostly in FL Studio4, though i also use other software to create samples, which i then can use in FL Studio.. Those other software are Adobe Audition, Reason2.5, and some random stuff..
Used to make my music with Modplug Tracker, and before that with Impulse Tracker.. (used Psycle also for some time)
My music can be found in here.

And damn, i just finished a song i put a lot of effort in(many hours of work(and having fun too)), and then when i had finished it, listened it a couple of times, i noticed it was boring as hell.. :( Pretty annoying.

well, i sequence (listening to a song and remaking them i a sequncing program). normally i sequence videogame songs and i have sequenced quite a lot.. about 8x or something.. they are in midi format, meaning that depending on your soundcard, they might sound different then on an other persons computer.. i think its a fun little passtime =)

BarTek wrote:Speak: hah thats some nice shit you have going on, ehm bit of teh chillpill music. btw you make those junglebeats ya self?

QUESTION: when you say you make music are you the:

- make all beats/samples from scratch?
- or the "ejay" guy who use mostly done beats and so on.
Well, i have to admit i have used loops for drums in my old songs, but everything else is one shot samples or softsynths. Nowadays i make my loops with oneshots too..(and they sound a lot crappier nowadays! :p)

So, it's oneshots for drums, own recorded samples for voices-shit-fx-stuff and softsynths for everything else.

I'm really interested in making music myself, or rather 'beats'. But is it hard to do?

BTW: BarTek, you're cool composer, that song is really nice oldskool =)

BarTek wrote:YEAh modplug is coal, only downside is that you cant really make advanced stuff such as "PAN from low-freq to hi-freq" and such cool effects. Uhm yiou have to export into soundfourge or something, PAN it there, then import the sound loop as a single instrument and put it up there.
yuo mean filtering? Zxx in teh effect column.

Listening to it now, like the the beginning and the refrain, could be a lot more hardcore though. I hate it when it's too happy.

I use Guitar Pro 4, too!
You can pretty good realize your ideas with this Program, espacially
the tabs of some trve metal-songs are very nice...

I just try to upload a fixed version of teh Wintersun - Beyond the Dark Sun,
but they treat me to make that Keyboard background accords playable on Guitar... but why? How stupid...
Maybe, you know Wintersun and can help me to finish this tab...

Maybe, you'll like it...

I found Goldwave a great editor, although it's a shareware, it can be used like a freeware with full functionality.
It has lots of functions (like mixing two songs, reducing vocal, adjusting volume, adjusting speed or even playing backwards), and can save audio files to mp3, wma, ogg, wav, etc.

Thanks for sharing.
When I read its features, it seems to be even more powerful, and it is absolutely free. I may uninstall Goldwave

I wanted to try to record the little beats you do in Floops on the fly, just that kind of improvising stuff, but it wasn't possible at all. So then I read about Ableton Live 5, and remembered as I used Ableton Live 4 some time ago. Version 5 totally kicks ass, I might try some more with that program.
