Elma code ( programmation )

Post by The_BoneLESS »

I only have two simple questions...

1. Is the code available somewhere ? ( i don't think so but, maybe )

2. Where the bounces supposed to be or are they all "bugs" ?

1) I think no.
2) I think there were supposed to be, but not as big ones as people usually make.

i don't think bounces were meant to be the way they are, i think they are just a result of the game physics

bounces happen cuz of the suspension compression...it cant stay compressed so it bounces ya!

And why does it release when you press the brake?? You know its not that easy to explain, but i would love to here the explaination. And the suspension cant stay like that if there is no power to press it down, and that power doesn't disapear that quickly, it it did you still wouldnt bonce that hard, far from it, if you have compressed wheel and drive out from an edge it does shoot out more then a little bit more then normal,, and when bounce it shoots out far more.

I think when you have good angle you can do a slight bounce without brake, or something that looks like it (Tag, first apple).
But I think, that when you brake, the pressure cant go anywhere but from the wall, so a bounce. Therefor it isn't a bug, but just a technique which is just another example of how this game is simple to learn yet hard to master.

Well, not a bounce we always talk about. Maybe we can call bounce wheel compression effect number #1. And the effect you get when you have wheel compress and don't brake we call wheel compression effect #2. You get it?

46Bounce.rec covers the definition wheel compression effect #2. You may or may not call that a bounce.

I think the whole different bike behaviour thing is really interesting :)
That one I wouldn't call a bounce, something else... I mean, it could be called a bounce but at least it's different from regular bounce... but personally I wouldn't call that a bounce :P

I think bartek means the 46Bounce.rec

Although...can't see any brutals there. Bartek's just trying to look ignorant.

Then you must be 2 times blind, BarTek, since Pertii was talking about that one, and there IS a bounce in stini's replay. Or you must be behaving really Ignorant today?
