Anyone remember vsync.lev by darm?
http://www.kurki.buildtolearn.net/uploa ... /vsync.lev
Who remembers this? In vsync.lev you can see wether you have vsync on or off. The reason I bring this up is that during some talk with Juski we realized that my comp is strange.
I get the same result in vsync.lev with vsync on or off: I fall through the hole ang bang my chin on the "dmd" text.
We realized this because in Mking017.lev (http://mopoking.now.nu) I can go through the hole in start ez, but others can't, at least not without serious trouble.
So I wanted to know if I'm the only one who get's this result in vsync.lev or if it's because vsync.lev was made in win98 or something.

There are couple of topics where the matter is discussed, here's one I found:wwwDotcoM wrote:How do I switch vsync on/off?

OFF: backwheel touches killers. Can't go through the hole.
ON: Wheel goes through and head touches "DMD". If I turn around I die at "Tested under win98".

Amazingly what I just found out.
I tried to go through the hole in Mking017.lev (http://mopoking.now.nu) and I only succeeded in it with vsync put on, while zworqy managed to do it easily with vsync off.
Then I was experimenting some, and then I suddenly managed to do it, with vsync off! And I could only do it when I configured elma to execute with a higher resolution. And even then, only if I put the time to be visible.
So, I now think it's like this:
Vsync Off, Resolution Low, Time Off: More Grip <-> Less Grip: Vsync On, Resolution High, Time On.
Please try and tell your results, to check wether this is system dependent or not.

havent bothered to tell about this but i had to play shelf life with 1600x1200 resolution to get through the hole with vsync offtijsjoris wrote:Amazingly what I just found out.

Vsync ON limits your your fps to the refresh rate and with vsync OFF youll reach higher fps, and when your fps gets high enough you wont pass that hole with you wheel, so to be able to get through the hole and use vsync off I had to use the maximun resolution to get low fps
dame sach unclear text, try to understand
