LGR Images

Post by Froot »

Hi,
I've got the LGR development kit, and am slightly confused by it. There's the .PCX files which seem to be the images, and the .TGA files which seem to do nothing at all. Are they useless, or have I missed something?
Also, do the .PCX files have to use the 256-colour pallete? I've tried making some high-quality images and they look buggy and pixellated when I try to use them. Changing the palette looks strange ingame.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

You can only use a limited number of colors (dont remember the exact number) in the PCX files.

The TGA files are not used. They are just there as help if you want to make images similar to the original PCX files. It's easier to make a True-Color image and then convert it to 8-bit than making 8-bit images from scratch.

Read the text files that comes with the LGR pack.
