When will the WR TT be under 35?!
- 45 Minutes: KingKong, 11 Mar 2000
- 44 Minutes: Champi0N, 5 Apr 2000
- 43 Minutes: KingKong, 4 Jun 2000
- 42 Minutes: zyntifox, 21 Nov 2000
- 41 Minutes: pajen, 14 Oct 2001
- 40 Minutes: dz, 2 May 2002
- 39 Minutes: TorInge, 11 April 2003
- 38 Minutes: Zweq, 28 Sep 2003
- 37 Minutes: TorInge, 16 Mar 2005
EDIT:MISTAKE:- 36 Minutes: John, 15 Jun 2007
Should have put dates of when wr tt went under the limits instead :x
Everytime this question comes up most people always say "Impsy under next minute limit". Few people, including me, have always said ez possible. Even now i still think it is possible, but as we see above it will take longer and longer for each limit we brake. And in 4 years who knows what will be of the scene, this is the first time i doubt next limit actuly will be broken, although still highly possible.
So what do you think? How long until we get under 35 min? Will we get under 35 min?

congratz Johnny! you got under 36 very ez. Ummm anyway about this negativity towards the next limit break im saying ez yes and you know why, because peeps like john and zweg are still shaving hella time off of their internals each week. It is when the wrs are going down by .01 of a second that we are close to the limit. Once again gratz johnny.

not necessarily.Memphis wrote: It is when the wrs are going down by .01 of a second that we are close to the limit.
look here on the period between tables 205 and 226 - 7 months, and only 4 seconds improvement. It's a third from the last WR table alone, which had to deal with much more "advanced" WRs.
So slow improvement might as well indicate inactivity.
And grats John. Really impressive tightness bewteen your TT and wr TT.

I think it's because one of John's time got the WR tt under 36 that Juski thinks that way.SveinR wrote:Look, John's TT is 36:19 not 35.xx. Of course 36:19 is an absolutely brilliant TT, but I don't know what Juski is thinking of.

After making such an embarassing mistake it's even worse i'm away for so long before noticing it. At the moment of posting first post i thought the minute limit brakers was the ones who got the total time under.

anyway, under 35 minutes in January 2010.
and no, I do not begin my post with "if no one will be active..." or "depends on new versions and left alovolt" or the infamous "never!! impsy!". come on people, it's guessing, play the game.

Ya we will get there. Probably somewhere around the time of 2014. Usually helps when someone finds a crazy time cut to a level or two because some of them predicted times on certain levels seem near crazy but then again who knows.

My guess is around six years from now too. Maybe more, but if people keep hoyling it may reach 34:xx,xx. But never 33:xx,xx.Memphis wrote:Ya we will get there. what do you think?
Re: When will the WR TT be under 35?!
I agree too. But hey, WR TT is now around 35:45, isn't it..? It's been almost a year and a half, and 15 secs... so yeah, 5 years is an OK guess.
Re: When will the WR TT be under 35?!
i think WR TT will be 35 next year, seriously
with those 1-2s per WR update in average, i think its possible

Re: When will the WR TT be under 35?!
yea, wrs are made quite often these days, but notice that total improvement of every whole table stays around 0,4-0,5s so if every month there were 2 updates (1s) then during 1 year 12s would be cut off. in case of that i also guess its liek 4-5 years.

May: one update
June: one update
July: two updates
August: two updates
September: one update
October: two updates
November: oh updates
there have been nine updates in seven monthsÂ...
it's not the one-update-per-week we used to have! ;)
in fact, here's some data:
#265: 35:59,60 (June 2007)
#292: 35:49,19 (November 2008)
by the same pattern, give it close to ten years.
