Truth about the Elasto Mania driver ?

Post by dz »

We know the bike doesn't move by itself; it needs a driver a.k.a kuski.
As we start the game, and begin controlling the bike, we usually notice the kuski, but consider it just a "thing" which does funny animation while you swing the bike. Why is that so ?

I once pictured myself an situation on possible newer version of the game, where after every finish, if you like, you can watch the kuski getting up from the bike, and start jumping in the middle of the screen take an apple from his pocket, start eating it and show a sign, "finished".

There could be an intro showing his home, him making an apple pie and shaving his moustaches with white flower flavored cream.
Then sometimes he would take a watch out of his pocket and say "best time!" I wonder how long it takes for him to finish an apple ?

Please, lets give the respects to this lovely elasto mania Kuski which he truly deserves.

How do you see this little fellow ?
Maybe we could give him a name ?

I think the kuski in elasto mania hates us bad...
We make him hurt several times a day.
We should make elasto mania a fun place to this little fellow.
So do not fail to finish any level anymore guys!

if there are crazy animations like eating apples or whatever there should be an animation with his head splattering off and bouncing and rolling away. that would be funny

yes there should be a story, cut scenes, animated apple taking, animated death's etc..

i think he should have a name, and that balazs should announce it, so it becomes as bizarre as elasto mania is

In that case there must be some divine purpose to his eating apples and then going for the flower as quickly as possible. Something more convincing than "well... he likes eating apples." It's a divine quest! But why?

Maybe he's like a black hole...He takes all materia he can eat, in this case apples, and when he touches the flower, that means he has cleared/eaten one galaxee...

This was just too dumb...

whenever i show someone who's never seen the game before they all ask why there are apples and flowers and i have no idea, i just accept it and don't think about it anymore
gas cans and a flag would be more appropriate i guess

The kuski, let's call him Padawan, was sent on earth, from his native planet, to carry on his holy quest, that is to collect as many apples and flowers as possible.

Disguised as an 'ordinary' terrian he has to complete his mission as fast as possible, and with that he'll save the world.

By giving apples to all the hungering populations and by making world peace strewing flower power flowers.

His extreme alien abilities, as being able to spin fast, jump long and high, also including that his only weakness is his head as his body isn't like ours, makes him the perfect 'man' to save the earth and it's inhabitant from selfdestruction.

Not to forget his unbelivable all in one, spaceship, home, motorbike... engine, which makes the quest to something more dramatic and spectacular than it would be with a normal terrian made bike.

If Padawan make it trough his quest, he'll hopefully come back to his own planet with a better understanding and control of his mind and body and he'll then may become able to be a jedi.

Before that happens he'll have to travel trough many different places and countries, as evil woods, huge lakes, small caves, big deserts...

But throughout his quest he'll need help from people he can trust and who will take him to the valuable apples and flowers he's looking for, those persons are like you and me, helpers of the holy quest, sitting before a comp saving the world.

I'll stop here before it gets to mad, or is it to late :)
that's one of my visions of it, hope you'll like it

I'll go with that one.

Btw, shouldn't it be "Padawan"?

Game characters who collect weird, pointless things.
  1. Sonic the hedgehog - rings.
  2. Mario - coins. (okay, maybe not pointless, but you never see him actually spending them.
  3. Pacman - dots.
Hold on, I know I've got more. Let me think a moment.

maybe you never see him use them, but mario gets free lifes off of coins, how can you beat that? and with out rings in hedghog your ass will die, in elasto mania no apple no finish.

my point being: no matter how stupid a game may seem what ever you collect has some point.

that was a lot about nothing like everything else i usually say

Some more...

4. Toxic Bunny - coins.
5. Mr Kanga (no one will remember him) - coins.

Actually, the majority of game characters collect coins.

Okay, maybe not pointless, but silly. I mean, rings? What's with that? Hedgehogs don't wear jewellary. The coins are bigger than mario's head, but i'll let the makers of pacman off because the game is so old.

Such an old topic! But it has great potential, so i'll bring it back!

Sonic gets lives from rings too, and in the cartoon, they were 'power rings' that allowed him to turn into Super Sonic fora while. The same as in the game really, you have to colect a certain amount of rings (usually 50), then:
Sonic 1: Finish the level and jump though the huge ring
Sonic 2: Touch a star post
Sonic 3: Touch a star post, depending on how many rings you have, you'll go to different types of special stages
Then in the special stage, you'll find an emerald. If you collect all 7, you'll trun into Super Sonic.

Then in the other games, there was other ways of getting emeralds:
Sonic Spinball: 3 are found in every level (Very bad game, no continuity from the other games, not even made by Sonic Team)
Sonic 4: Never finished, who knows how youd have to get emeralds??
Sonic Adventure: Found at the end of levels
Sonic Adventure 2: Found at the end of levels
Sonic Advance: Bounce on a Magic Spring

This proves that games, however good or legendary, rarely make sense.
Also, this has just been a load of random Sonic information, that really doesn't prove anything.
Thankyou for your time.

well, in the bugs bunny game you collect carrots

apples just look nice, think of anything better then?
oranges?
pears?
limes?
hotdogs?
cellphones?

I mean, apples are just the natural choice :D

Haha, watermelons. :D
you know, if you make some research, you will soon realize that many small boys who play elma (like BarTek) whould see similarities with Tits, and therefore play with a constant Hard-on.

So the conclusion is that they would not be concentrated enough to reach true hoylaskills (maybe they would be addicted anyway ´cause of constant hard-on, dunno)

How do you know he eats the apples? Sonic doesnt eat the rings. Mario doesnt eat his coins (i hope!). Itd be the sensible thing to do, but i cant eat that many apples, especially if i had dz or dmd hoyling me!

Yes, i think we should put in a long intro in the game that wastes time, and a lot of stuff that is of absolutely no relevance whatsoever. And we should take away the bike, and we should make him start out with a crappy scooter, and make him work his way up to a good bike by selling apples with drugs in them, and we should defeat the simplicity of the game. :-p

I was just kidding. I was using sarcasm, as I think that this topic is insane.

You can make games with floating toilets, but don't ruin the game for us people who are familiar with it by making Balázs put in things that are complicated. I have been playing for three years, and I like the way Elma is.
