Freestylebattle

Post by John »

[23:36:44] <swos> someone make a freestyle track in elma where you can do all sorts of elma tricks, bounces back strecthes and stuff, then we all make like + - 30 secs rec and judge the winner by giving figure skating numbers best being 6.0, we can judge technical merit and something else
[23:37:40] <swos> we can make 1st round manadatory movements rec
[23:37:47] <swos> where all possible tricks needs to be done
[23:37:52] <swos> and the 2nd round is free
[23:37:59] <swos> that's too figureskating :)
[23:38:44] <swos> one trick , the hardest could be like "3 volts salkov bounce"
[23:38:56] <onlainari> we would need a bot like in that heikoinlenkki chan
[23:39:12] <onlainari> where everyone has to vote with /msg battlebot your vote
[23:39:31] <onlainari> or we can just do it without the bot

Not a bad idea imo, someone start making that bot^ ;)

I was thinking about trying this one out, but it seems like such a hard thing to juge a winner with...

I thought once to make some "skatepark" levels, and the winner is the guy who makes coolest, smoothest, hardest and .....est moves !

Some guy made a contest like that some time ago, with 2 levels, where he would give points after how cool replays ppl could make, but he closed the contest again, caus no one paticipated.

Can't remember who it was, but I still have the levels, and some of my replays.

I have been thinking and planning some exactly same. For example new level in every month and you have to include some basic tricks (maybe brutal volt, normal volt three times in a row, double volt twice in a row, triplevolt, bounce, hang, pipe) to your replay and the rest is up to you. 30-60secs and then the jury or some other people give points etc.

Cool. I would like to have this on Moposite (at least easist to get participants) but once again I don't have time for it :(. Anyone?

The points could be this:
- Control of bike: 1.9 (3.0 max)
- Variety of tricks: 1.2 (2.0 max)
- Difficultness of tricks: 0.2 (3.0 max)
- Entertainment points: 1.4 (2.0 is max)
- Lucky: 0.4 (0.9 is max)

Total points: 5.1 (10.9 is max)

Allways tried to do levs for that kind of contest ^^ never did one that will work fine

The three things it will have are: random simple polygons, long flat polygons to get speed and little mountains on these ones to do the bounces and jumps.

My question is ¿will be necessary to take the flower? ¿or will be there a time limit where the judge will end?

An attempt i did just now:
http://up.k10x.net/ummumymo/Rfreestu.lev (sorry, i dunno where to upload it >_<)
oh fak. Using this account cos i lost real account's pass and noone can give it to me now D:

the difficulty of making something like this:

Code: Select all

<freebot> Freestyle balle start! level: www.url.lev
<the_oooo> ez win
<freebot> 3mins left
<freebot> balle over!
<freebot> You now have 10 minutes to upload/download all the recs and vote!
<bingo> www.url.rec
<the_oooo> www.k10x.rec
<bongo> www.b0g.com/b0g.rec
<bingo> !vote the_oooo
<bongo> !vote the_oooo
<the_oooo> !vote bingo
<freebot> People voted the_oooo to be teh winner!
is not hard at all,

but then there is the problem of noone will like play theese battles for more than a day, and ppl teaming up voting for eachother.
No regrets Image
