_preview_ Elma for PocketPC

Post by peter777 »

Hello.
We ported elastomania to Pocket PC.
(we have rewritten physics, so it is little bit different, but it is still very similar to original)
You can download preview here: http://elma-ppc.com.ru/ElmaPPC_preview.zip
(read readme.txt if you have any questions about controls)

What do you think about this idea?

It's a fine idea. We have discussed about this ages ago, but never got to make it real. I can't decide wether it's well done or not, because I don't have a pocketPC.

Are there any people with PocketPC?
I think their opinion about physics will be more informative than screenshots.

Or maybe I was wrong and posted topic to wrong thread?

Sorry, but don't think many elma people has PocketPC these days.

Would be great if you could provide us with a link to an working PocketPC emulator, so we could test the physics!

Photos would also be great.

heh pretty sweet. bike looks lower, is that just because you drove fast into the slope and got compressed? or are gfx actually different

the crouched kuski looks cool, a novel way of playing. bounces should be possible, I guess removing them = shit

So why have you changed the physics, i don't see any hardware reason.
If physics remain diffrent, then replays couldn't be submited...

Apple count?

They ripped the game, stole ALP levels without permission and now selling it for $15?

To me, they can not be very professionals. Why would they do something like that and even dare to advertize it here and ask money for it? Without the ideas of the authors who created these levels the overall quality playwise would probably be a lot poorer.

I agree.. but they don't. I asked on their forum.
I (Xiphias) wrote:Just asking, do you guys even have the rights for PocketElma? and even worse... Selling it?

I don't mind what u guys do.
But what about Balazs Rosza?
and Peter answered:
Peter wrote:Pocket Elma is entirely original.
We did not use any graphics / physics from original Elastomania (r) for PC.
Pocket Elma is only Elastomania - Like game.

For me this seems to be :The Worst Answer Ever: :? :?
