BrutalVolt

Post by dz » 12 Aug 2002, 08:13

Yeap, just after the amazment of alovolt's possibilities, i think it was Capo, who invented this new, BrutalVolt.
I haven't been so intrested about it yet until this morning i realised you could do a pritty good time on one level with it.

Im talking about bowling, just before the annoying edge, produce a BrutalVolt and jump over the whole god damn thing! Whoa, under 1 min guaranteed. :)

mm..must be other levs too..

i tried it at bowling
it´s impossible(or i can´t do it) because it´t going uphill (and you crash your head there)
and you need more speed to do it
i tried it several times but neved succeeded

As far as I know about 18 months in Kahvi Cup about 5 people (Tisk, mr, me at least) used the brutal volt (it was needed if you wanted to finish). Also ramone knew it earlier I think.

Abula did the brutalvolt without alovolting (so that's possible). This is why my time on Brutal is 0.3 seconds faster.

I would like to know what this brutal volt thing is all about...
Was it cast for the mass who burn and toil?
Or for the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?

I think I found out under one minute style in Zig Zag (haven't got any ideas from other people's replays) and because I can't talk to my team mates I thought to tell it here to everyone. I let here some secrets but some players will understand it for sure.

So, we all know the Across Zig WR style (shame you, if not). The only problem was the fourth (I think it's fourth apple in Weird-AAL's ex-WR replay, at the point of 36 seconds or something) apple, you know the one after uphill, downhill and volting. As you can guess referring to the topic of this thread just use brutal volt to take the "fourth" apple like in Across. It's possible, believe me. Then drive the uphill and bounce directly to upper left.

What the hell is brutal volt then? Maybe we keep this top secret thingie only among IRC people? Just come there to ask :P

so...
i tried it for many hours to make it (no success)
if i have enough speed, i am able to take it (when i turn from the wall)
maybe it´s possible, but only with a huge luck
that jump from the left side is not very hard
that apple can be also caught form the top (made it) but then it took me more time to get back

Most people/talk is at 19:00 EET, or was it CET? Anyway, around that time. And are you sure you connect to IRCnet? Cause that's where it is.

DarMoeD: I think the .rec can be downloaded from the across WR table at www.elastomania.com, but I'm not 100% sure.

I thought there was something cool and new, I figured this trick out by myself like a year or more ago, I've done it alot, but I suck so I never got records, but I knew about that for a long time.
